What comes in threes? Submit an image for this week’s photo theme, Trio.
In October, I hit the road for a few weeks to explore Utah and Arizona: two states that have some of the most awe-inspiring sights and surreal landscapes I’ve ever seen. One afternoon, I toured Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park with a Navajo guide, who taught us about this sacred land and the Navajo Nation’s history.
While I could share numerous images from Monument Valley, I wanted to highlight this iPhone photo I snapped of the East and West Mitten Buttes and Merrick Butte — three unique geological formations that form a triangle:

The Mittens (left and center) and Merrick Butte (right) of Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, near the Utah-Arizona state line.
Individually, each butte stands strong, but together — as a trio — they’re an even more incredible sight. Nature is grand.
For this challenge, share your own take on the week’s theme, trio.

Nice challenge! Caused me to think of that old adage, bad things always come in threes. I offer evidence that they do not:
