Signs. Funny, poignant, symbolic, incorrect, informative, foreshadowing…there are so many signs in the world.
This sign was in my local fruit & vegetable market. It was funny not only for the misspelling, but also for the fact that most people don’t speak English and therefore the sign was probably that vendor’s way of appearing internationally-savvy and failing a little bit at the same time.
Share a picture of a SIGN and explain why you chose that picture!
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.
2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.

I may have to do more than one this week, but here’s my first one. http://sustainabilitea.wordpress.com/2013/05/31/weekly-photo-challenge-the-sign-says/
I love these challenges, but would also love it if they would come out earlier. It drives me mad waiting to see what the next challenge will be. 🙂
Thanks for doing them.

This link took me to a “You’re not allowed to edit” sign…which might work for the challenge, too, but isn’t what you want.

When I read what this weeks challenge is – the photograph I posted immediately came to mind! This is sort of an inside joke with my husband and myself (his hand in the photo) as I am American and use the word “crap” – and as he is European he had never heard the word before. Needless to say it is now part of his vocabulary as he spotted this sign on my first day out with my new camera. Hope you all enjoy it as I…..my version: http://thephotoseye.wordpress.com/2013/05/31/weekly-photo-challenge-the-sign-says/
