Are you ready for another multi-photo challenge? I bet you are :) This time I made it easy for you, with a color.

Green. For some of you, in the northern hemisphere, you may not be seeing green for a while. Let’s celebrate all things green!

Share (many) pictures in a gallery which mean GREEN to you!

{My GREEN Gallery: Eating green beans from Ottolenghi in London, The London Tower, Pistachios waiting to be ground into pistachio butter, a building in London covered in green, Picking blackberries, Running by a green and somber veteran’s cemetery in San Diego, Ricotta, pears and spinach, A car full of artichokes in southern Italy, me wearing a WordCamp Sofia (Bulgaria) shirt}

I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.

3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.

I like daily photo contests happening on WordPress and I would like to participate in them.
Please some one help me how to participate in them??

  2. I know my rose is not green but it’s the prettiest rose i know
Surrounded by outstanding beauty and colors of Green
    Have a nice evening everyone

  3. I feel like I’m going insane.. HOW do you insert a gallery. I get that you have to check the tiles box in media setting.. but after that. it’s one big mystery :(

      1. I just realized that the link I posted contains all the same info (oops). For some reason, it made more sense to me in a slightly different format? Weird. I was just going to post two photos but ended up doing a whole gallery, too!

  4. That “somber veterans cemetery” is up on Point Loma in San Diego, my hometown (for now). It’s a beautiful place where many of our nations higher-ranking veterans of foreign wars are (and will be) buried. On the other side, the headstones look out onto the expanse of the Pacific Ocean.

Just beyond that is the Cabrillo monument, as well as the tide pools, both of which you can experience for $5. One of the most beautiful places in SD.

  5. Almost each my gallery in the Photopoems, see the grasshopper, famously green, pasikonik

It is itself a gallery of greens (among other colors), isn’t it?.

Being unfortunately very busy at the moment I only redirect your attention to a discussion with an impressive contribution of a leaf to the topic green, actually in the North, and with snow as bqackground

Oh, yest and if you are there, don’t miss the green writing of the word sigh (westchnienie)

  6. I found a photo on your website that I would like to put on my business cards. How do I get permission from the owner?

  7. “From your blossoming garden gather fragrant memories of the vanished flowers of a hundred years before…In the joy of your heart may you feel the living joy that sang one spring morning, sending its glad voice across a hundred years.” -Rabindranath Tagore. My post for the Weekly Photo Challenge: Green (i used circles in a gallery — hope you like it!) pls click link below:

  8. I enjoy your weekly photo challenges however I just wish that they were more time appropriate, green would be great for Christmas or summer and I just wish WordPress would do holiday challenges. Even if it is once a month. Thanks for everything.

    1. @Elena – Thanks for the suggestions. Remember, you can use any photo you’ve taken, you don’t need to take a new photo in response to the theme (although that’s great, too), but just post a new post. There may be some holiday challenges in store! :)

    1. @travtrails – Make sure you post the link to the exact blog post URL so people can find it later, and as your new content shows up on the front page of your site!

  9. The funniest coincidence. Had just posted the images/steps for an adapted all-time winner for this time of the year: Green Bean Casserole – the catch, it’s Bolivian-style, so, no cans were used during the ‘making off’… very green, very organic, very natural… homemade stuff for this challenge… and I guess, very appropriate for this week’s photo theme and upcoming week celebration!
Enjoy and let me know what you think… Thanks for the inspiration! :o

  10. Weekly Photo Challenge:Green | Trees and Lake

“Going green doesn’t start with doing green acts — it starts with a swing in realization. This swing allows you to recognize that with every choice you make, you are voting either for or against the kind of world you desire to see. When you assume this as a way of being, your choices become easier. Trees and Other natural resources needs to be preserved with bringing in that swing into our mindsets; world is beautiful when trees are alive!!!”

  11. Weekly Photo Challenge:Green | Not So Green Diwali

In India, Diwali is celebrated as festival of Lights with Fire Crackers; In Past decade Pollution has increased in a big way still we Indians refuse to learn and put tradition in front of environment Environment.

This pick is a contrast still it is a symbolic for the theme Green as per my thinking.

  12. I’m not sure my photos are coming out gallery style. Can you please check out my green challange and let me know. I made sure I used the suggested set-up for gallery style pics.

  13. Love the photos. Can’t wait to start mine. I don’t see the green until spring.. Great challenge, as I live in the northeast.

  14. Ok well in response to this week’s writing challenge: break the ice, I’m going to start here. I’m fairly new to the blogging world and one thing that I’ve seen more recently are “Trackbacks & Pingbacks” and I think I’ve had 2 of my own pingbacks but I have no idea what that means. Can someone explain what this concept is and how you post them? I’ve ignored researching this until I saw the DPChallenge haha!

  15. Hi I’m late to this challenge and quite possibly cheating as this image of green shoes that I used on a recent blog post was taken a while back (and it relates to a story I wrote called- wait for it-The Green Dress), but some of you may enjoy it all the same:
Here’s the link to the other Green Dress image:
