Photography 101: Connect

In today’s world, we’re more connected than ever. How will you capture our theme, connect, through your lens?

Welcome to Blogging U! This course isn't currently active, but you can learn more about what we offer and register for upcoming courses on the BU home page.

In this age of social media, we hear the word connect more often, don’t we? Connect with us on Facebook! Connect with me on LinkedIn! Given what today’s technologies can do, it feels like the world is getting smaller, and we’re more connected than ever before.

There are many ways to interpret this theme: from a gadget to a handshake, from a bridge to a gathering among friends. What’s yours?

Tip: Don’t forget to tag your post! Tags group your related posts together, help to organize your site content, and quickly tell readers what a post is about. Tags make it easier for others to find your latest posts in the Reader, too.

Tag this post appropriately. Photography is a sure bet, and photo101 — our official course tag — is a great way to connect with other participants. Consider other tags, too: for the image above, I might also tag it with bridge and San Francisco.

However, don’t over-tag! Between five to fifteen tags per post (or a combination of tags and categories) is good practice.

Note: Comments on Photo 101 posts are closed — please use the Commons to share your new posts, discuss today’s theme and tip, and chat with fellow participants. If you choose not to use the Commons, just be sure to tag your post with photo101 so others can find your submission in the Reader.
