Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Thanks very much! The locations are – Holy Island, in North-East England; Calanais and Carloway, which are on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides Islands off Scotland; Rannoch Moor, which is in the Scottish Central Highlands (those photos were taken by iPhone from a moving train with dirty windows – hence the blurriness!); and Knock Hill, which is near where I live in Central Scotland.

Hello to all the readers and writers out here!
I love the art of poetry. I believe poems are the best ways for poets to express secrets that are hidden deep within them and for readers to unearth treasures stitched into words.
I write poems and would love to know what you think about them!

Happy Monday and a start of a new week, swimmers! How is everyone doing? 😃
I run a daily blog where I dabble in creative writing through flash fiction and poetry while using British English. Essentially, I am not much different from a dictionary defining a word or a phrase and then using it in an example. Though I’d like to think of myself as more useful than a dictionary if only because my “examples” are longer than five words.
I’ve been in a poetry kick recently, so if that’s your thing, please do check it out! The one today is about having Monday blues. And I wrote one on Saturday that’s very near and dear to my heart.

Hey there beautiful bloggers!
I’m super-excited about today’s post! I’ve created my first My Instruction Manual book to go along with the blog and podcast.
The book – 18 Steps to Own Your Life: Simple Powers for a Healthier, Happier You – goes on sale on Tuesday March 6. But I’m giving away free advance copies to members of my launch team. What’s involved? Check out the post to find out.
https://myinstructionmanual.com/2018/02/12/will-help-launch-next-book/
I would love it if you signed up for the launch team… or just let me know what you think of the blog post here or in the blog comments.

Hello,
I started my blog because I got scared of the fact everyone’s going to uni and starting their lives whilst i’m here on a gap year not knowing what I want to do. I thought I love to write and read so why not start a blog and so I got the courage too. I don’t know where this will go but im writing about travel, health and food so if you’re willing to give it a read.
I’d love that and to hear what people think. Hope you’re having a lovely day.

That’s great! Even I was also thinking the same but did it in a different way. I have a page dedicated to such posts i.e. WRITE TO INSPIRE PAGE. Where I link the inspirational posts. Even anyone can leave a link there.
Good luck for this motivational step as we all need lot of inspiration and motivation in today’s stressful life.

That’s actually exact;y what I had in mind for this but I just wanted to establish some original posts first and get people into the idea before I dived into it! I love your method though, I might have to look into a page like that!

Am I missing something? Somehow I did not understand exactly what happened. It would have been better if you included more details.
But I’m glad that you were able to vent. That’s all that matters.

I’m not sure what is not adding up for you about the story. The synopsis is that I was insulted based upon the assumption that I had little or no intelligence based upon my physical disability. After informing me of this, a stranger proceeded to request my assistance in educating her about how to interact with people with disabilities.

” I was insulted based upon the assumption that I had little or no intelligence based upon my physical disability.” This part. It’s just my curiosity. What made them thing you had little to no intelligence? And how was it related to your disability.

She interpreted the fact that I walk and speak differently to indicate my level of intelligence. And honestly, even if my intelligence where affected by my disability, that would be no excuse for her to treat me with inferiority.

I see. Thank you for clarifying. Clearly not the things that I should evaluate when intelligence is concerned. And agreed.
