Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Great post. People only see your successes, but few see your grind. The grind is a very lonely road that so many never travel because they are unwilling to struggle to earn their success, they want it handed to them and they look for the easy path. During my own personal grind I have lost 120 pounds. The grind is where we learn our lessons and find what helps us be successful and what leads us to fail.

I do believe there are some objective limitations to human potential. Like – no matter how hard I tried there is no way I would be able to run 100m faster than Usian Bolt.
But people focus too much on that 0.00001%. Find a way to live good life if you are in top 2-5% of the field. Now, that’s something everyone can do and where “impossible is a dare” plays big role. Maybe 2% of population can run 100m in 12-14 seconds… but anyone that’s relatively young and puts their mind to it – will be able to do it. And will be rewarded with healthier body and happier outlook in life.
Thanks for your thought provoking post and keep it up!

“Something is only impossible until someone does it”. So many advancements have been made because someone said that something was impossible. It was impossible for man to fly, and now millions of people are flying everyday. But like howtoaddict said, their are limitations to how far you can go, but just because it might be impossible for you doesn’t mean that it can’t be done.

So many things seem impossible until you give it a try. I know for me, I just needed someone to help me try those things I felt were impossible. Of course, there are going to be things that are indeed impossible in life but everything is worth a try?

That was a fun story. It deserves a sequel, perhaps even a prequel. One thing seemed odd in your choice of words, “Rudyard’s ginger face…
Gingerly, Rudyard…” They seemed to clash since they look and sound the same but have unrelated meanings. https://gracelead.co

Thank you, yes, I’ve already had a request for a sequel on my blog! I DID notice the similarity in those two words but quite liked it, so let it stand. A matter of opinion I suppose. 🙂

Hi everyone, happy Monday!
This is gonna be more of a PSA than anything. I posted today about a book I love with all my heart. I think it’s wonderfully creative, but sales were poor when it was first published 2009, so the sequels have been constantly pushed back.
The book is Shades of Grey (no not that one) by Jasper Fforde.
I know we’re all book lovers here, so if you’re looking for an interesting read, please check it out!! Trust me when I say you’ll want more sequels just like me.

I think the chance to work (for the experience) and see the world while you’re young is really helpful if you decide to study later. Plus it’ll help you be sure your next move is what you really want to do.
Anyway. Good luck right back ‘atcha.

I think your blog and the things you write about are very interesting! I appreciated you writing about donating blood, because it is such an important issue and more people should be noticed about it… great job! Keep up the good work! 🙂

Sweet post. I am so happy for you two!
So I have some problems with your “spelling style”. Maybe because I am not a native. Anyway, this seems to be YOUR style, so keep it.

I always try to plan surprises but it never seems to work. This year my hubs turns 30 so I have to do something special.. already trying to plan it.

It looks really good.
I’m afraid I don’t know anything about hokey, so I have no idea about the contents… But it is a really easy to follow layout.
I hope some hokey fans find you!

That’s a cool niche! This is the first WordPress.com hockey blog that I found. I have no idea about hockey, though. It’s a good layout, but I would play around with it. Try to be creative, maybe add a hockey puck background or something – but it’s just a suggestion. Overall, nice blog!

I’ve been following hockey for about 6 years now since I met my husband. It has become my favorite sport by far. Huge Blackhawks fans here 🙂 hubs is from Chicago.
