Upcoming Webinar: How to Start a Successful Blog

Join WordPress.com and Bloguettes on June 6 for a free online workshop on the ins and outs of blogging and WordPress.com.

Use World Time Buddy to figure out what time the webinar will start where you are.

Whether you’re new to WordPress.com and want to learn about all of your options for publishing online, or have been blogging for a while and would like to hone your practice, consider this upcoming webinar on June 6 at 11 am-12 pm MST (mountain standard time):

For this webinar, we’re partnering with Bloguettes, a company that helps you build your brand, develop your business, or expand your blog online through workshops, classes, and other resources. The session will cover a variety of topics focused on:

  • The benefits of blogging
  • Choosing a blogging platform, domain name, and hosting option
  • Determining the look and feel of your blog
  • How to write compelling content to connect with your audience
  • How to set the right goals for your blog
  • Things to consider when setting your blogging budget

Dennis Hong, one of our happiness engineers, will be on hand to share his WordPress.com expertise — as well as the basics of managing your own self-hosted WordPress site, if you’ve ever wondered about the differences and if that route is right for you.

This online workshop is free and open to bloggers, business owners, and entrepreneurs of all levels. All you need is a computer and an internet connection to join. There are limited seats available, so register now!

For registered participants who cannot join the live session, a recording will be available on the Bloguettes site for 30 days. More details and FAQs can be found on the sign-up page.

  1. You might tell these hosts that they have misspelled the word ACHIEVING in their convoluted advertising, which turned me off completely. The Webinar seems to be a naked attempt to wrest $$$ from all of us bloggers. Not my cuppa tea.
