To find, copy, and paste your link:

Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.

Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to their first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your post, copy and paste the link right into a comment here.

Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment!

We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:

  • We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
  • The third time is not the charm: don’t share your stuff repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
  • Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. These will be removed as well.
  • Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments or repeatedly replying to comments with your link; this is considered spammy. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
  • To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.

      1. Thank you Angela.
The hover-follow button on the bottom right is unfortunately only available for blogs hosted at wordpress.com
I have the e-mail subscription widget active on the posts and pages with a sidebar.
If one day they would implement the follow button in the jetpack plugin that would be great.

    2. Hi David! I loved the general theme and flow of your blog. The pictures and stories are amazing!!! It gave me a bite of wanderlust. It took me a bit longer to load (but it is probably due to my own network) but I enjoyed reading and going through it. I didn’t see the follow button though.
      Cheers!!

      1. No problem.
Just day by day cut a very little amount of added sugar from your food… And just make the sugar quality less day by day..
Instead you could eat food which has no added sugar whenever you crave for sweets…

    1. I enjoy your concepts. The only caution I would give you is on your grammar and sentence form. I notice that you have a few letters missing and some places where content should have spacing- I think just doing an edit prior to posting would easily fix this. Otherwise, well done and good luck.

Feel free to visit me too. -Fallen

    1. Hello, Kayla. Just read some of your posts. Really like your voice. I believe that you might be a bit frustrated about not getting any followers or likes and i may know why. See, nobody told me about this until I figured it out myself after exploring for months, but I’ll tell you: you need to use ‘tags’ to get bloggers to read your writings. Suitable tags, for your posts, may be ‘running’, ‘marathon’, ‘life’ etc. Because certain bloggers follow certain tags and that’s how they come to know that you’ve even posted anything, or else nobody would even come to know about anything you write. I guess that’s the main reason you aren’t getting much readers. I Hope this helped. If you would have any further questions, please let me know. I’d be happy to help. You can even come to know about this concept of ‘tags’ on WordPress ‘help’; That’s where i find most of my answers.
      Cheers 🙂

      1. Even i never paid any heed to them, but they generally appear either on very top or very bottom of a blogger’s post with a hash ‘#’ before them. You can put in tags for your post in the ‘settings’ area of every individual blog post of yours, if you have the WordPress application. Just separate your tags with commas, no need for ‘#’ as they’ll put it themselves.
… And you’re welcome. Happy to help. 🙂

    1. Hey, Patrick. Just checked your blog out. I Liked those pictures but am still unsure what your is particularly about. Maybe you could try adding a tag line under your blog name. And also, try giving a brief description of all the pictures if possible. Because I would like to know if you made some of the art or just clicked pictures of those things your eye liked.

      1. Hi Thunder Poet thanks for checking out my blog and the feedback, greatly appreciated. I think I’m still figuring out the angle of my blog but the basic idea is that it is a portfolio of my pictures (I did create all of the pictures/photos and took screenshots of movies etc). But yes, I could make it clearer, either with descriptions of by captioning them.

    1. Hello, adi. I went through your blog a while ago and I really liked your story, but try to proof read everything you write because it may help reducing grammatical / punctuation errors.
As for your followers and readers, I believe you may be feeling a bit strange as to why aren’t you getting many views or likes….. And i totally understand why. You need to start using ‘tags’ to get other fellow bloggers aware of your recent post. Here is How this work; certain bloggers follow certain tags and if you use suitable and favorable tags for your individual posts, they’ll automatically come to know that you’ve posted something. For you post, using tags like, ‘story’, ‘india’, ‘dogs’ etc. may help you get some amount of suitable readership. You can even come to know about this concept of ‘tags’ by WordPress in its ‘help’ section. That’s where I find most of my answers. Hope this helped. 🙂 If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or you can even ask experts themselves by going into ‘help’ and then ‘contact us’. I usually end up doing that, too.

I would LOVE feedback and I am working my way around this site to do the same. Thank you so much! 🙂

    1. Then you’ve jumped over your first hurdle – just getting *something* into your blog. Now that you’ve got that out of the way, I see you’ve done a pretty good job of making your blog start to feel more like your online home. Just a few more things, though – your About and Contact pages are still showing default texts, so perhaps spend an afternoon in the Customizer getting to know your theme. From there, you can fix some of the default texts, change colors, and just generally tinker around.
