To find, copy, and paste your link:
Head to your blog’s home page — not your dashboard, your blog itself. Click on the title of your post to open the individual post.

Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.

Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.

Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.

We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:

  • We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
  • When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
  • Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
  • Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
  • To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.

    1. I took a peek at your post. It looks very nice 🙂 It is a lot of information at one time. I am not be the most diligent reader, so I quit about half way through and skipped to the end. Less is more…sometimes 🙂 Your conversational style did make the post easy to read 🙂

      1. Haha, yes I think I got a bit overexcited typing up the first post! I’ll keep them shorter in the future – well that’s the intention anyway! Thanks for the comment!

    2. I really like the header picture you are using for your blog and it matches your posts well.

I agree with Emissary. I read the first half thoroughly but skimmed it after that. Sometimes long posts are necessary but frequently they will be more likely to be read if you divide them into different posts. (I know fewer people read my long posts than read the shorter ones.) I think that is especially true when you are using a lot of pictures. The pictures often relay the message and words are less necessary.

I did enjoy reading your posts and looking at your blog. Welcome to the blogging world!

      1. Thank you! I thought it was getting a bit lengthy but sometimes there’s no stopping the babble 😉 Will try to keep things shorter though!

      1. Thanks for taking the time to read it! 😉 Yes, the tea place is 100% worth visiting – don’t get me started on their selection of flavours…

I loved your post about Orchha – very tempted to book a holiday right now 😉

    3. I enjoyed your writing style, conversational and humorous. I agree with the rest of the comments about the length of the post. In the beginning I also posted long ones until a seasoned blogger friend told me to keep it under 500 words and have lots of pics (which you do). I will love to read more and have followed your blog to do so. Welcome, I’m looking forward to more, especially the food pics, they look so yummy!

  1. I’ve been on again and off again here but recently started this blog to chronicle my inked journey and my life events. Anyone interested can follow this link to my blog:

    1. Great work! Paradise lost has been on my list for so long, but I think you just bumped it up in the queue! Also it’s always nice to meet a fellow buffy appreciator!

    1. Wasn’t sure which post to read, so I read this one

I think this is an excellent point and something that also irks me sometimes about worship songs. One suggestion would be to add specific examples of songs or personal experiences to back up your points. Your post obviously stems from moments you’ve experienced, and I was curious to hear more about that. If you really want to inspire other worship leaders, one of the best ways is to just share your story! Overall, great job and it looks awesome!

I introduced myself last week as a new blogger with This blog is a labor of pain, sadness, anger, and my incredible story as I was stricken with insidious anorexia over two years ago. It starts at the beginning and you journey through all this took me and my loves through. It is my story that needs to be told and I thought a separate blog was necessary. Please check it out I post to it daily as it is a story that needs to be completed in writing as well as real life. I pray and hope it might help at least one person. You are not alone and if I can offer anything it is my honor to help someone overcome this illness. Many thanks hope you like it! Corey

    1. I agree a job at school gives so much more time for traveling. We both have full time jobs right the year and yearn to quench our quest for exploring and visiting places. Just like you, we too have begun documenting our trips. Link to one such trip has been given below:

You being a fellow travel blogger.. suggestions and feedbacks are invited. Happy traveling and happily blogging!

  3. Hi guys! We are a group of six gals about to tackle Route 66. My friend Patty assembled us. We’re leaving our homes and her stage 4 pancreatic cancer behind. We’re looking for laughs, adventure, new friends, the ultimate chicken-fried steak, the most marginal hotels, AND we want to meet Ellen Degeneres and Melissa McCarthy. Patty needs a hug. AND if you know ellen or melissa, well, please tell them we’re coming!

    1. Welcome! FYI: that link goes to your dashboard, which is private, so people won’t be able to see your site. The simplest way to get the public link is to go to your blog’s main page and click on the post title. Then, copy the address you see in your browser’s address bar and use that. Here’s your site:

  4. Hello guys!

I’ve started this blog to have a place to share my pictures and my thoughts -mostly about art, architecture, design and travelling!
It only counts two posts so far but I’m looking forward my soon-to-come Greece trip to update more!

Hopefully it would feature mostly English-written entries but since Italian is my first language I may slip into it now and then!

Feel free to peak in and come say hi!

  5. Hey guys! Still fairly new to WordPress – I’ve been blogging for about a week now. I don’t write about any specific topic, but so far, I’ve written about certain struggles I’ve had to deal with over the last couple of years. Here’s the link to my latest post, “Social Anxiety: Prom Night”:

I also take photos. Nothing professional. I just enjoy it.
