  1. Topic suggestion – “What skill would you like to teach?”

As I preach in my blog, when applying for a job, remember that keeping your skills up to date by taking training is a good thing to be able to talk about in an interview – but think how much more impressive it is to tell them you taught the class!

  2. SCUBA. I’ve been snorkeling since I was 8, and I love seeing what’s happening under the surface of the sea, but I’d really love to get down in there. Perhaps it’s the quiet, or the colorful fish, or maybe the different kinds of coral, but whatever is drawing me there, it’s time for me to learn. Soon.

  3. Instead of just perfecting just one skill….. I would rather be able to learn to use the skills that I have acquired since birth …increasing by using instead of a new one to deal with …..

  4. I would like to learn to be a more humble person. Seems like the world is getting louder and louder with more argumentitive people striving to get their own way, by the rudest means possible. I would like to become truly different from that, and not to over-value and worry so much about my own agenda.

  6. I’d like to relearn Math. Funny it may seem, but I just lack the skill to analyze algebraic equations, such as a+b=?.

  7. I want to learn to write a mission statement for my life as a writer, and to continue to refine that regularly. Compassion and honesty are essential components of my writing life. Weaving the two are sometimes challenging when writing Creative Nonfiction. I also want to learn two new languages – at least get somewhere with them, and revise two others. I’d like to be fluent in Italian and Spanish (the new ones) and maintain my fluency in French and at the same time continue to work on Modern Greek. Tough calls! I’ll need to be very self-disciplined. Good luck to everyone else. I’m enjoying reading your skills lists.
