I sat down four times today to write this post. And four times I got distracted. Well, that’s not entirely true. In one sitting I managed to get a couple of paragraphs written, but they weren’t very good. So I deleted them and I went and futzed around Facebook until it was time for me to be somewhere else, doing something or other.
*sigh*
This week we’re looking back at our New Year’s resolutions and seeing how we’re tracking on our goals.
My goal this year was simple: to finish what I start.
I’m happy to report that, for the most part, I’ve been meeting this goal. Hang on, there’s the phone. Be right back…

Well,I will have to say I was just all set to do this blog when the phone rang and it was my daughter. Most of the time I do okay as far as finishing what start. There are times that it might take a little longer than planned. I never make New Years resolutions so I don’t worry about that.

HONESTLY,IT IS EASIER SAID THAWM DONE.HAVING THE THE GRACE TO FINISH WHATEVER WE START IS ALWAYS THROUGH DIVINE INTERVENTION.NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY,THERE IS ALWAYS THE TENDENCY THAT WILLY-NILLY,AT SOME POINTS YOU GET DISTRACTED.THIS IS LARGELY DUE TO THE “VAGARIES OF HUMAN NATURE”.STAYING FOCUSSED AND COMMITTED TO WHATEVER GOALS WE SET FOR OURSELVES IS A HERCULEAN TASK,BUT WE HAVE NO OPTION;THE ‘JOB’ HAS TO BE DONE.FULFILLING OUR DREAMS/AMBITIONS IS GERMAINE TO OUR EXISTENCE IN THIS WORLD!

Head down…I’m trying to finish the year with post a day. Haven’t been doing a post a day – have done 159 posts in 258 days which is 68%, right? That’s a low mark for me – I think I have to push it to 80%…..It’s hard. I guess the best way to finish what you start is to choose your goal carefully.

Great suggestion for the postaday/postaweek20011… I’m also trying to do that, and pretty much accomplishing the postaweek2011. Also, trying to complete the year keeping my head over my shoulders, managing my students, 2 toddlers, a baby and a husband!!! 😮 This one is the hardest task, and hopefully, I’ll finish it – and keep my head where it should be! 😮 Cheers and thanks for the ongoing inspiration!

Sometimes it can be almost impossible depending on what tasks I must complete and the urgency behind it all. I make a list or goals I would like to accomplish on a daily basis..Sometimes I accomplish them all and sometimes I don’t . Any suggestions?

You know the resolution to lose weight. Well I have kept to the endless goal this year. I am ill and so it can only help to lose the weight. Of course every now and again my husband brings home forbidden fruits and amazingly it makes me feel ill so I think my taste is changing.1. Novelty Tables

When I need quite time I drift into the recesses of my mind. I have always been a daydreamer and when I get stressed out I automatically daydream. It is the safest way I know of to keep my self control in tact.
