By At WordPress.com we work from all over the world (See How WordPress.com is made). We often do fun things to keep us all connected, and we’re doing a great one next month – A wordwide 5k walk/run, and you’re invited to participate:
at Automattic we use internal blogs for socializing and exchanging non-work ideas in addition to making WordPress.com and our other products more awesome. One thing we’re concerned about is staying healthy – we even have an entire blog dedicated to fitness.
We had a great idea: Get all 80 Automatticians from 62 cities to run/walk a 5k on the same day! This way we can get some exercise together as a company even though we’re apart (though we won’t rule out a softball or Texas scramble at our next meetup).

It seems like every group has some sort of health-promoting gatherings every so often, which is a terrific thing! Tremendous idea!

well, you successfully got me of my butt today, and I am grateful. I’m out of shape, and I have one fast dog and one old dog. Recently learned Old Dog needs more walking, although she resists. Like me!
So, we checked out MapMyWalk, made a map and walked it. We’re training for April 10!
