Post by voice if you’re on the road

If you can’t get to a computer, or want to try something different, WordPress.com lets you blog through an ordinary telephone call. You just call a number, punch in a secret code, and start talking. We take care of the rest, posting you recorded message for all your readers to listen to. It’s quite amazing.

  9. Don’t worry about your voice! Almost everyone hates hearing their own voice. I’ve been a radio presenter for more than 10 years and I still hate having to listen back and so does nearly everyone I’ve ever worked with (and trust me, the ones who love the sound of their own voice are rarely as wonderful as they think lol!)! It has something to do with the fact that you don’t normally hear yourself from that angle, but no one else will think you sound any different!

  10. I am going to try this daily. I have been drawing pictures on a calendar, so I will just post “Today I drew “something” on my calendar.”
    Just to try it out. Thanks for the info. It would be fun to hear what everyone sounds like.

  13. I have a question. I accidentally deleted one blog entry of mine (I published it last January 5) Is there anyway for me to retrieve it? I don’t have any drafts and it’s breaking my heart that I lost it!!! I’m participating in dailypost and now that post is gone! :((

  14. I would love to try this! I have a self-hosted WordPress site, so I may just record something with Audacity and upload the audio onto my blog. I get better sound quality than calling in with my phone. If I wanted to post a woman-on-the-street kind of thing, I could do it thought Talkshoe & edit the audio file at home before posting it. Great idea to try audio posting though!
