New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.

3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS

  1. Okay, now I’m confused, Jakesprinter posted the theme as ‘love’ yesterday, then we were told it is ‘waiting’, and now it is ‘ready’. Hmmm, shall we take our pick?

  2. There are a lot of sites that have a weekly photo challenge. The one I first started on was this site at The Daily Post, which I love and waited with anticipation for the new challenge. I will still be committed to this one as they say, my first love. There are seven days a week and 24 hours a day. I love to take pictures and since I’m retired now I have time for them all.

  3. Thank you for another weekly photo challenge! Much appreciated!
Mine is almost ready for viewing :) In fact, it is scheduled to be published within 4 hours of the time shown here in order to coordinate with a special leap year project on pix & kardz. Thanks for your patience! Here is the link:

    1. my apologies if you have tried to access my link. it was scheduled for publication for at least 15 minutes. not sure why it is not appearing.
perhaps this is related to the delay wordpress has encountered in posting this challenge? interestingly, when clicking on my gravatar, my link shows up as a blank screen, rather than either of the last two posts. could wordpress programming possibly have an incorrect date set up somewhere?
hopefully it will be available soon. thank you again for your patience. once it works, here is the link once again:

  4. Ready for some yummy treats?

SUGAR COOKIES were delivered to me ready to frost… We devoured the whole batch at a birthday bash. Remember, you are never too old to enjoy sweets… or to enjoy helping frost them! More goodies I’ve made in the past year or so are also linked with photos at the bottom of this week’s entry. Hope you all are ready to get your mixing bowls and egg beaters out!
