Growth. These small (believe me, they were small) grapes in Napa Valley are getting ready for the harvest later this fall, when they will be turned into wine. Plants, animals, people, grow…but so can buildings, shadows, and waves. What can you share that makes the viewer think of growth?

New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.

3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS

      1. It took me a couple of days of writing, but here’s finally my contribution this week:
I’m having a look at how the invention of the telegraph is indirectly related to the rising popularity of tattoos in the Western world, and also the cultural appropriation and growth that took place in these early days of tattoo.

Illustrated with photos for the weekly photo challenge of course :)

  1. This is a good theme, but I wonder why my email notification did not arrive, as I never changed subscription settings :S

  2. Here is my entry for the week! As many of you know, those of you who click your way into my blog, I have one specific favorite person, cause he sure is a person! Not just his size have grown bigger, but also our connection. Even if I sometimes wish that he still was the size of my shoe, I would never trade that for the friendship that grows together with his size <3 Have a nice weekend!
