John Godley is an Automattician based in London, England. Never far from a camera, John enjoys capturing scenes around London and is sure to have a photo walk on his agenda when traveling. He loves a good sandwich.

This photograph captures a plant I discovered in a family’s garden on a recent trip to Morocco.

While in Morocco, we had the chance to go hot-air ballooning. After the trip, we ate a traditional Moroccan breakfast hosted by a local family. In the middle of this dry land, they had a garden filled with greenery. I was drawn to this striking fan and the way that the tiny “threads” seemed to float over the plant.

Share a photo of what “fray” means to you — it could be a tear in a favorite pair of jeans, a street rumble just about to begin, or a friend diving into an oncoming wave at the beach.

  1. I just posted some fray photos here the other day of some vikings that were fighting. Those photos would have been perfect for today!
I’ll see if I can find another photo in my archives that can suit this challenge.
