This sounds like a good challenge. I love challenges.
Me too:)
Me too, preferably a relaxing low pressure challenge
nice:)
This sounds really interesting. I might join, however I can’t guarantee a daily post…
Hey dear Dailypost!
I’m a brand new blogger and I usually publish 1-3 posts a day, and I would LOVE if you could check out what i have to write in those posts!
My dream is to become some kind of world-known lifestyle/human rights – guy.
Have a very nice day!
- Andy
Welcome! That’s great to hear you’re posting so frequently and enjoying it. Keep it up
Hi,
I am very new to blogosphere but I just want to say thank you for sharing great tips and offering lots of support.
Cheers!
Daniela
Hello, great-I am new to blogging and would like to start posting at least once a week-hopefuly I will increase it over the time:) One thing I could not quite understand; do I have to TAG my posts with postaday??Sorry if I am asking you the obvious.
Welcome! If you’d like to participate in the Post a Day challenge, then you can add postaday as a tag to each of your posts.
Thanks Erica,
i see..so even if I am going to participate post a week-shall I do that? or shall I simply use postaweek?
You can still use postaday, even if you’re not writing daily. Alternatively, you can use the postaweek tag to be included in the postaweek Topics page here.
Thanks a lot for your help:) I will try to write daily-but it might be difficult to do so for travelling
I wish I was travelling everyday!
Have just started today and hoping to achieve at least one month with Post a Day! Hopefully I won’t have to resort to posting pictures of cats! : )
I’ve been posting once a day since I got started about three months ago. But I live with the constant fear that I won’t be able to keep it up… that I set the bar too high from the beginning. But this blog has me feeling confident again. Thanks for the great tips!
I am a new blogger. Would be interested in reading a post a day for the time being. Posting once a week may be more realistic for me. Thanks for the tips. I love to read all your tips!
I like this concept, but I just have one worry. Will posting a blog post every day effect our readership in anyway? For example, what if readers get tired of my posting every day? Any tips on this. Thank you for your kind feedback!
More often than not, frequent posting helps to bring more readers to your site since there’s always something new to see
awesome! thank you!
yea i think you rite
Most readers who follow your blog are ok with reading insiteful posts that may be either amusing or entertaining. If your posts have meaning or enhances the readers experience they will be glad to stop by on a daily basis.
Good point!! Thank you for the feedback!
I believe this is a great idea and love reading about your tips, I guess my greatest concern would be having ideas to blog on every day. I was a blogger for a long time but if you get out of
the habit it is difficult to start back but love your ideas, I am unfortunately not very techie and
adding things such as pics is something I am learning. Thanks for your great tips
as a newbie I find this daunting, but I am always up for a challenge ~ I am in [staring next week]
I tried and succeed for 3 days! Have made the switch to Post A Week until I’m better able to rise to the challenge! : )
This should be a great way to get started, can’t make any promises that I can post once a day but i sure will try.

I am also new to blogging, having starting my blog a little over a week ago. For now I also
will go with one post a week, however I always see new opportunities for posting. I keep a notebook and jot down thoughts as they come to me.
Thank you for this post. Will be looking forward to it.
All about to experience stay at the small village at Sabah North Borneo of East Malaysia.
Can I join the weekly photo challenge if I am not yet part of Post a day?
Okay let’s do this! This is really a challenge! (fingers crossed) lol!
this will be a great challenge…. i will post as many as i can ……………..
Challenge accepted … not like I don’t have enough insane things to blog about ;p

Hello-o-o-o! Where’d you go-o-o-o?
hey there! The “Weekly Writing Challenge: From Mundane to Meaningful” caught my interest, but the link at the footer of my stats page took me to an error 404. Where can I find the article?
This is so cool!
I was actually already doing this for myself (5 days a week!) but now I will go for the 7 – and I guess that means till December 31, 2012? That’s a great challenge!
oh, this really is great challenge for me! i’ll do my best
The Daily Post, it’s awesome
I find WordPress very confusing and difficult. I love blogging, I love the blogs I have encountered here, but sometimes I just give up. Is there a simple 1,2,3 type of instruction somewhere? I have used the search box, but the answers never relate to what I needed to know. I appreciate all your work with this website and I do love it. I just wish I could figure it out!!!!
Interesting challenge, this why I choose WordPress to pour out all thought. I love reading and the consequences is always traffic jam inside my brain system. WordPress help me to keep maintain it on the track by organizing and manage it into simply everyday post.
I might need some help on finding a good blog posting, because sometimes my mind gone blank and I don’t know what to put in the post. I really appreciate any idea and tips to do that.
It shall be done!
I think blogging is a great way of getting your thoughts out there.

I am Julie from the UK.I never believe in spells and magic until I experienced one sometime s ago and it really worked for me.I was in love with this guy and he is in love with me too for 3years and we making preparations to get married but to my surprise, his parents did not want his hand in the marriage cos of the religion difference.I was about loosing my man to another lady under the influence of his parents until I met a spell caster on net that claimed he can help me out.He helped me cast a very strong spell that helped change his parents mind and i noticed also that my man love for me has greatly increased. We are happily married now with kids.People with similar problems can contact the spell caster on templeoflove1@gmail.com
‘Theology and society’ (http://gastone1.wordpress.com/ )is a rather new website and invites all the theologians, philosophers, teachers, young people and thinkers all over the world to embrace this new effort. My initial intention was to write some of mine impressions and thoughts around matters of mentality. Fortunately i felt that to develop something and share it to the world is not only sociable but deeply useful. So i decide to do so and start improving the material. It would be very useful an open web site to the public with a scholar background, such as this one, to be transformed into an instrument of modern theological and philosophical thinking as well. A public interaction for this purpose in the context of a civilize argumentation would serve this goal pretty well. Please do critique, share opinions and dreams, publicize essays and argumentation of yours, make topics for discussion and express your self what ever is your religion doctrine or your philosophical background. Theology means thinking with heart and society is the people all around…that means YOU.
The preferable language is Greek and English.
So i am inviting all of you to share my ambition and make this web site a gate from which a new purpose of society is deriving and new ideas are arising .
With regards

Having just recently joined WP I find the Postaday challenge inspiring and motivating. Just a quick q though re the comment criteria, I’ve noticed it says you cannot link to your post… should I only be using the tag? Being new I’m a little confused.
I am confused too!!
Writing everyday should become habit. The more you write (or in this case blog), the easier it will become. Ideas will start flowing. The hard part, like with anything (especially working out) is actually starting the process. Exercise your mind. BLOG!
sounds good for me..
It is nice idea. Challenging but EXciting !!!!
This is wonderful, you are inspiring so very many with this blog, you are a gift to the other bloggers, thank you for that! Penny

Hi there,
I am a new blogger dying to to make blogging friends. Is it okay if I joined but dont post everday? Also, how do I find other blog challanges that might also interest me?
Thanks!
Just post as often as you can/want to – that’s fine with us! Try browsing topics like “challenge” in the Reader to find other writing opportunities.
Oooo this sounds like fun. I’ve been trying to post weekly but I kind of want to break out of my rut a little bit…hopefully this will help! Will start today
This sounds wonderfully inspiring
I have tried to blog daily but it never happened. I created and deleted so many blogs. But now things have changed. I am learning new things having new problems and most of all I am travelling so now I have many things to post.
I am new to wordpress blogosphere ..but this sounds something like fun
I am three day old at WordPress, I find it too addictive. We have to party ourselves with our passions. Thanks for this platform.
I am new to blogosphere too, so many ideas out there, and it looks like fun and challenging
I find it more challenging since my blog is focused on a specific topic! but I think it’s a great idea to encourage writing
Blogging really has helped my business. It seems like one of the most popular topics online is gifts and unique gift ideas. Especially with Pinterest becoming extremely popular, everyone’s looking for the newest trends in creativity. I’m looking forward to posting my own blogs to add to the excitement.
here’s mine. http://misskimpe.com/2012/10/06/weekly-photo-challenge-happy/
happy weekend everyone.
This is a great idea! I am going to sign up now. Not only does this serve as a great motivational tool for writers, but it also helps publicize your message.
This website is so inspiring, I am aiming to blog frequently. Will listen to the advice and tips from here.
Just to make sure so that I don’t clog up the ‘post a day’ tag – are you saying: if we post every day regardless of whether its related to the weekly photo or writing challenge, we can add the tag? I’ve been doing that for the past week but not sure I’m supposed to
should I remove it and only add it to my challange posts? Thanks
You can certainly use the Post a Day tag any time you’d like
We’re able to differentiate between the writing challenges and daily posting by having you use the #DPChallenge tag for any of the Writing Challenge posts.
Excellent
Thanks
This will be hard, but I’m gonna try.
Hey there. I just started my blog on Thursday, and I’ve been looking through some of your tips and advice (as well as reading other articles on the subject).
Thank you for posting them
What is the one site where I can find all the photos submitted for the weekly challenge?
Thank you.
We don’t collect them in one place; you’ll need to visit the individual blogs to check them out.

I love blogging! My main site is http://www.susannemoore.com and I am studying Sociology with a focus on Gender so I blog about equality, gender and general social issues.
I’m new to blogging .. So think I shall start out trying this
it will be a fun wee challenge.
The daily posts are a good challenge. However, on the Nov. 2 one (write a letter to your 14 year old self) the post went on at 11 am and was closed at 8:00 pm. This window is unrealistic. I wrote a response and when I went to post it the comments were closed. If comments are going to close so early they should be posted earlier. We aren’t all sitting on pins and needles anticipation of the challenges—we have a life in between. Please allow more time for comments.
Thanks for the heads up! Your pingback will always appear on the post, whether comments are open or not. In general, we’re closing comments on prompt posts.
I guess I’m challenged. I still don’[t know how it works. I posted today to see what would happen (the Nov. 15 prompt) even before comments closed and my post is still not listed on the comments. I have the tags listing daily post, so what am I missing???
Los sucesos de Madrid en una fiesta de Halloween, con tres muertos (de momento)
Siempre he sido optimista, pero con la Alcaldesa siempre veo la BOTELLA MEDIO-HIENA…..
Well, I’m going to try and stay more caught up with this. I think it would give me good ideas to keep along with my blog’s main message.
If anyone could point me towards the best sections of the Daily Post that may help with any sort of anti-bullying post, I’d appreciate it.
hey daily post can you check out my blog i’m a new blogger
I am new to post a day. Do I email the post to Daily Prompt?
How do I respond. This is for 5 November 2012 – justify a favourite thing.

Hey you guys are awesome! I just joined wordpress and already I feel internet famous for finding your guys! Thanks for helping out all of us in our blogosphere ventures. xoxo
I NEED HELP!!!
DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS BLOG????
You do not have to pay unless you want your own domain or you want to spend money on its appearance but they always ask or let you know if something is not free.
Dear Daily Post,
I was wondering if it’s okay to translate the daily prompts so that I can write in my first language, and still tag it with ‘postaday’?
On behalf of a very dear friend, I submit to you her renewal story with explanatory photos: http://humantriumphant.wordpress.com/2012/11/09/weekly-photo-challenge-renewal/
Hi my name is Haneen Saleh and I want to ask a huge favor of you. I know many people ask you for favors but please mine doesn’t involove much. I live in Paterson and attened a public school International Highschool. I signed up for the red ribbon week contest to raise money to help out our very poor school. If you could just send out one tweet on November 12- 24 asking your fans to vote for us on this website http://redribbon.org/vote/ , me and everyone in my school would be so so thankful. Thank you in advance and keep doing what your doing because you pretty good at it.
I was reading on of your posts on inventive and fun ideas for grammar blogs. My favorite suggestion was to look up goofy words or common colloquialisms to investigate. I plan to use this advice in my own grammar blog to spice up my posts. Thanks!

Hi Daily post!
I’m a newbie blogger in wordpress and I am very happy that i found you. I’ve been reading some of your posts last night til’ this morning and I already got some points and helpful reminders on how to blog. I’m still struggling a bit and I am trying my best to make my blogs read-worthy to attracts readers. I’m interested to try your challenge as well! Wish me luck!

Why do the post a day comments get closed so early? It’s only 11:30 a. m. today (my time, EST) and they are closed. Even when I respond after that time (I was told later posts would be listed) I don’t see the plsts listed, even with a link.
It makes it discouraging to respond.
I’m very new in this Blog thing… I never thought that I’ll have a blog, I’m here I’am! Thank you for your love Daily Post! Lovely post!
Hi! I have a question for anyone who works at the Daily Post ( I couldn’t figure out how to contact you guys so I thought I’d comment): I know you guys have Daily Prompts, but I was wondering if there is someway that you guys could have a more rich “inspiration station” because while I like the daily prompts, I wish there could be more than just one each day. I have tried Plinky, but I didn’t really like it. in your sidebar there was something about “instant inspiration” but the page didn’t load correctly for me. so basically, is there a way to get more inspiration on your blog? thanks!
I’m confused about the difference between the Daily Post and Postaday. Are they the same thing? Do my posts HAVE to be about the suggested topic each day, or are those just for inspiration when needed?
Today, I’m not feeling the WordPress love. The comments are closed on Hobson’s Choice, so it’s impossible for me to simply say: I’d prefer to read others’ posts since my own unpublished musings is called journaling and I already have an outlet for that. To me, yet another example of communication NOT happening on WordPress. But you all go love and talk amongst yourselves.
I have already registered with this site and get daily prompts.
But can you tell me till what time, till when I can comment on the Daily Prompts you guys provide? Because today I wrote a blog and wanted to post the link in your comments section, but “Comments are closed” is what I saw.
Please guide.
hello there!
I don’t know where to write you to ask you about settings. So I do it here. I’ve noticed you’ve been working on a new lay-out for the Media page (uploads of pictures, gallery settings, etc.) but I have to say that it’s not very friendly and easy to use, compared to the one you had before.
Now, I can’t put the gallery of photos wherever I want in the post, the pictures don’t come out the way I want and it all makes things longer to get by.
Copying Facebook layouts is not a great idea if you want my opinion because it wasn’t friendly to use there already!!!
I hope this comment reaches you and that you can help me out on this.
Thanks for your attention.
Cheers on the work, though! I’ve been a fan of wordpress since I first signed up and truly enjoy every feature but that one really isn’t working out.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Julie
I call my meta-fiction journaling then gather it together to incorporate in chapters of an ongoing work in progress. Need now to let loose of social media via FB and do as I did for close to ten years with Windows Live.
I am subscribed to this and get them immediately. Every post, even if it has just a few comments, arrives saying “comments closed” when I get it. Every time. Today, the new one arrived with only 8 comment, already showing “comments closed.” What gives? If I can’t enter, why send me to updates at all? Really?
http://4ftphotoz.com/2012/12/08/a-childhood-memory/
I’m sure to someone this is totally obvious…this is all new to me. To do this post a day thing do I need to set up a special blog or do I just tag something postaday or what? And how about daily prompts? Should I tag it with daily prompt (whatever)?
I’m going to assume both of above assumptions are correct and proceed that way until I know the answer.

I must echo CarolynCHolland’s concerns, being that I am on the West Coast of the United States by the time you have set up a Daily Post and I have and I awake to see it. as I did this morning at 6 a.m. PST there were a 11 comments on this most recent Daily Post about being Flawed and then the comments are closed. Your system of setting up the Daily Post is flawed…last time I checked the word “Daily” is all inclusive of every minute of a standard 24 hour clock. Seriously if your wondering why your not getting much more response than perhaps 40, 22 and 11 comments that would be why.

As of this time a little over a month later there has not been any change that I have seen can something please be done to make this more universal. I would like to participate as I am sure others would but are discouraged by the “short-time” frames.
Thanks.
Yes, I really wanted to make a comment on “Time Capsule” and it was closed. It was early morning on the West Coast. Is there a reason the comments are closed?
Will you remove me from the Daily Post. By the time I check my email it is closed. It is Sunday 12/16 11:40 pm and it is closed. The weekly is fine the the daily is just to fast. You have great topics that I want to respond to. Also, I need time to think…
Nice.

I felt somewhat daunted at the thought of writing a blog, but finally mustered up the courage to start. Thank you for your tips and challenges.
What’s the point of this daily post if the comment sections are always closed? After only 8 comments, you closed the most recent post. I don’t understand this little thing you guys are doing.
For the latest post — I would ask my leaders to eliminate Monsanto, indeed all corporations and private banking from US policy making. Our gov is supposed to be for and by the people, not to enrich for-profit corporations. The corporo-fascism in the United States simply must cease.

I have been posting regularly in the daily prompt for the past couple of weeks and everything OK. I am satisfied but yesterday there seemed to be a little problem. I posted, did a like for the subject, even built a link back to daily prompt, and my blog did not appear in the list of contributions on the main page. I got quite a few comments, because I have many people that follow my blogs. that is not the problem. I was wondering was this a general problem in WordPress or did I do something wrong?
Hi, may I use this space to invite you and your followers to my site aapatawaran.com.
Here’s a link to my latest post: http://aapatawaran.com/2012/12/25/instaddiction/
I’m a writer and an editor and my blog is really exploring and experimenting with the art of writing via blogging.
Also, what happens if I add the tag postaday to my blogposts? Is it all right to add the tag even to my past blogs? I’m barely a month old in the blogosphere.
Thank you.
I have been blogging for several years: Hibernationnow.wordpress.com and never heard of this site. How could that happen? Great to know about but please tell me where to subscribe. I’d be interested in knowing some of the answers to the above questions. Many thanks. Laurie
hey some platform you have created. thanks
I have to say that I have tried blogging more than once before in the last 5 years and I have not been as successful as I would have like lots of times, because of the lack of continuity needed to keep a blog. Until now I feel like I am on the right track. This is great find for me and I thank for this great platform!!
