What a good theme. My chicks are on the edge of the nest too. I commented on Nicola’s post last weekend : “Their childhoods play back through my heart and head like scenes from a very favorite novel, one that I am still reading.” There is an unfortunate dearth of good blogging on this chapter of parenting despite so much good material. I just started a blog, not about being a new mum but about saying goodbye to teens leaving home for university and careerss. My sister asked me to co-blog with her (is that the correct expression? I’m new to this!) and although we’ve only been at it a week, I find all kinds of memories flooding back from earlier days of parenthood. If I’d known about this happy side effect, I’d have started writing years ago!
