  1. I reckon that if I could read what was on other people’s minds I wouldn’t leave the house. Too scary by far :( ((

I agree with amylle – Both are equally dangerous!

Talk about coincidence. I just finished watching New Moon. Personally, I’d be okay with both as a two-for-one special. Sorry, not that I’ll glorify vampires, but I’d be okay with immortality and a touch of mind reading on the side.

  5. I had a giggle when I read this. I definitely don’t want to live forever.

Hummmmmm???? peoples minds are so deep and same old same old …..think I would rather live forever…just sitting in a rocking chair on wrap around porch on a beautiful farm ….watching the world evolve around me …as things grew and things moved forward or maybe backwards …. yes I would have to say living forever would be my pick ….

  7. I would rather live forever. I can already read minds. ;)

  8. This is what I came up with for this questions. It’s about a story I read once about someone who wished to live forever. http://wp.me/p10iHd-8t

  9. Read someone else’s mind?….No thanks, I’m fine….I have been “working” so hard to stop reading MY OWN!
The goal here is to find silence… go IN, meet one’s self… and then my friend, you live forever!! =)

Neither. I don’t want to know what anyone’s thinking and I really do not want to live forever.

  11. If I am Superman maybe but not, there is a beginning and there is an end of all life and things here in earth it will happens you like it or not :)

  12. To read someone else minds? Oh no thanks, it’s impolite, you know?

    November 26, 2011
  13. I think reading someone’s mind would be helpful sometimes I suppose! But then I guess it would be scary to know everyone’s thoughts & Living forever…? wouldn’t want that either we all have to leave this world at one point..

Ooh, this is a great one. Leave forever, how long ? I wander what will become of you when there are nobody on earth.

Read people’s mind am sure you will seek death at the end.

  15. neither…

  16. I’d rather be able to ‘read minds’ than live forever. Immortality is overrated, and it doesn’t make you appreciate life since it’s ‘forever’. If you could read minds you have a definite advantage on swaying situations to your advantage. Call it unfair advantage or manipulation, but I hate the mind games that come with human interaction.

  17. I’d rather read minds.

  18. Hmmmmm … if ever i could read mind i wish i could read only the good one co’z sometime’s people thinking is so scary , after living forever maybe you feel tired enough to losses your mind …….

    November 26, 2011
  19. I would rather read minds. I would hate to live forever because I would see all the people I love eventually die.

    Cheers,
    Louise

  20. Neither!! I would never want to live forever. I believe in life after death. I truly try not to care about what other people think of me and even when I do I probably don’t really want to know the answer.

    November 26, 2011
  21. I would have to say that i would prefer to read minds. Hello! there could be life after death does no one want to potentially experience that?

    November 26, 2011
  22. I would rather be able to read minds! I wouldn’t want to live forever because, when you think about it, it’s pretty miserable! After a few decades, everyone you know will be gone, and you will be old and alone, but never get to move on. That sounds very sad to me; the human mind is much more fascinating!! :)

    November 26, 2011
  23. Living forever gives time to work on understanding oneself AND the others. So I choose living forever..!

    November 26, 2011
  24. You have to know darkness to appreciate the light. You have to know that you will sometime die to appreciate every living moment on earth.

Imagine life without losing. Imagine life without failure. Imagine every Christmas with no surprises. Reading another person’s mind is not it is all it is cracked to be. It would be novel at first but I think a person would become bored rather quickly.

    November 27, 2011
  25. I think reading minds would be awful. You could always now what people thought of you and end up beings really hurt and depressed.

    November 27, 2011
  26. Id perfer reading minds especially since you’d know when your being lied to and hopefully you would even do something positive with it.

    November 27, 2011
  27. Either choice has implications I don’t like. To read minds, no way. Wouldn’t even wanna go there. Live forvever? Only if I knew my body would not deteriorate with the passage of time! :) I wouldn’t want to see everyone I know pass “to the other side” either. Scary.

    November 27, 2011
  28. i don’t like either of the two. reading minds loses challenges in everyday’s life, neither is living forever. nothing to hope, nothing to cherish, nothing to be happy. some kind of a boring life it will be.

    November 27, 2011
  29. Living forever seems to be enough time to know yourself and perceive what is the real cause of living. But it also could be troublesome period of time. Person who could live forever sees that other people are dying, life is changing or becoming to an end… he could might forgot the true values of living… Either way I would rather read minds, because this is my utmost dream! When I was a little girl I allways imagined that I could read people minds. Sometimes I told them what they are thinking at that moment. The truth was coinciding sometimes. Because of this I become me more imaginative and brave person wihout any communication barrier. And I believe, that everyone can learn how to read minds.

  30. I’d live forever . :)

Read minds. I think this would be a neat way to make money. Who wants to live forever? How boring, not to mention all the taxes you’ll end up paying over your neverending lifetime. Hasn’t anyone seen Highlander? Everyone you love will die before you. Everyone.

    November 27, 2011
  33. neither; I’d get bored with myself and lonely if I lived forever, and people’s thoughts should stay private.

    November 27, 2011
  34. I’ve got a writer’s block. But I feel like writing today, so thanks to this topic. haha. http://jeninesilos.wordpress.com/2011/11/28/would-you-rather-read-minds-or-live-forever/

  35. I would rather be able to read people’s minds. Living forever is pointless if the people you love don’t live forever with you. However, It would be nice to read minds. You wouldn’t be one of the people that are easily screwed over because you could pick out the crazies from the beginning. Beautiful!!!!

    November 27, 2011
  36. None of the above. hahahaha :p *it looks both scary :)

    November 28, 2011
    • It is a bit scary isn’t it? Just the thought. Bleh.

  38. I would rather live forever. Anything in this world is possible by anyone if given enough time. SO, given an eternity, I can perhaps learn the skills to amass that wealth or workout enough to get that buff idol body. If needed, Unless you lose focus and squander your centuries on vampire sex, I’m sure I can have enough time to formulate a way to disable this personal eternity when you choose to.

  39. Read minds, living forever what a nightmare that would be. A Fun Gift Shop

  40. i think i’d rather be able to read minds then die with most of the things i know about people. immortality can actually be a curse.

    November 28, 2011
  41. None for both. Minds can kill the inner most of you. And even the pain to stay forever in me.

    November 29, 2011
    • What a horrible thought to live forever when all your family have gone.
Read minds would be much better.A Fun Gift Shop

      November 30, 2011
  42. I would not want to read minds. Reading minds would take the surprise out of everything and probably hurt and lot of peoples feelings. But living forever would be alright until everyone you know dies. So I guess I’m with the majority on this one too. Neither.

    November 29, 2011
  43. If i were given a choice between the two, this is my reply. http://verneeh.wordpress.com/2011/11/30/read-minds-or-live-forever/ good day everyone.

but reading minds has its ups and downs

  46. How old would I be if I could live forever?
Sometimes I wish I could read minds but then again I dont want to know what goes on in other people’s minds. I value being able to think freely with privacy. I know I would NOT want anyone reading my mind!

    March 1, 2012
    • I would hate the idea that a stranger or anyone knew what I was thinking. Now that is a gift not reading a mind.

      March 1, 2012
    • I am so glad we cannot read minds. That is a gift. We would forever be brooding about what people think of us or elated. I just don’t want to know.
