Weekly Photo Challenge: Broken

New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use a “postaday2011″ or “postaweek2011″ tag.

3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.

  56. Broken. At first I thought my blog post this week didn’t fit the theme. But the more I think about it, I think it does. This photo was shot on a recent winery visit. Discovering a birds nest among the grape vines, the momma bird who was feeding her children flew away. This little guy was indignant that his supper was interrupted. Broken-hearted, maybe? :)

As of this morning, I didn’t have an entry in to this week’s challenge. However, I thought of an idea this morning on my way to work, ran out over my lunch hour and was able to get this image. I’m pretty happy with the outcome as well.

  60. My post is up…It turned out to be quite a thought-provoker. I think I got a couple pretty nice pics (part 2 tomorrow), but I sure wish I would have thought of the broken glass that shattered all in my kitchen sink (just before this photo challenge) as photo material! :)
