I’ve been doing it every single day as well. Maybe one of these days my blog will get noticed too.
Keep up the great work! If you’re looking to boost your readership, check out http://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-more-views-and-traffic
I haven’t missed a day! Lots of fun!
It’s coming along just fine! Haven’t missed a day.
It’s interesting to see the six you’ve deemed be the most active
Agreed – I’m not entirely sure how blogs get selected for props by the WordPress folks. I’ve seen some not-so-great blogs get good PR on Freshly Pressed… while what I consider to be other really good blogs not get noticed…. I”m trying to not get frustrated (or irritated), but some days it is a little hard. I DO wish ALL bloggers good PR and lots of readers; I just wish that the love was shared more widely…Especially with bloggers who have been posting daily for the past 6 months (if not longer…).

Yes! completely agree!
I think the Postaday/Postaweek has been a great challenge. It has certainly taken us out of our comfort zone and encouraged us to reach out to other bloggers…
Another unsung daily blog mama here.
Hi Lavagal – we couldn’t get everyone profiled in this one post. So let me sing your praises here – any particular song you’d like me to sing to you?
My blog is doing great! I haven’t missed a post yet…. a couple of ‘late’ ones getting on after midnight…..but still posting everyday! Ever grateful!
Check it out: http://www.iamgratefulhowareyou.wordpress.com
Better late than never, right?
It’s going pretty well. There were two posts that I thought I had posted until I discovered them pending the next morning. So even though my post calender widget shows two gaps <> I’ve successfully posted every day. It’s been a challenge, but I’m really enjoying it.

I’m glad, that you put MIRTH and MOTIVATION on your list:
the female blogger, Elizabeth Obih-Frank, indeed she daily gives very good examples and inspirations how to write articles!
TY Frizztext & Erica & WP! I am humbled by this mention … and it’s a wonderful way to wrap up the month of June. It has been incredibly challenging doing the daily post, and I am grateful for the friends I’ve made and the lessons I’ve learned. My advice to others here and elsewhere is to stay focused on your blog work, make friends with other bloggers, and keep at it… Your day will certainly come!
Thanks again for the mention!
Elizabeth
I’m still going strong and am proud of myself for what I’ve achieved!!!
I’m doing the Post a Week Challenge. Currently, I’m sitting at 36 posts in 26 weeks! Thanks for providing the inspiration
Thanks to all of you at wWordPress for your encouragement! I’ve enjoyed blogging all year! It’s been quite a challenge and I have loved the daily blog challenge!
Blessings!
Thanks to all of you at WordPress for all of the encouragement! What a fun and interesting year it’s been blogging every single day!
I’m doing post a week and haven’t missed a week yet, most weeks I manage a couple of posts or sometimes more. I rarely use the prompts as it’s a book blog so the prompts rarely relate to what I write about
I’ve loved being a very little part of the dailypost; it’s one of the things that I’ve most enjoyed about being involved with WordPress. I made some great connections with people I wouldn’t have met otherwise, and although I’ve only done a few of the posts I’ve found the people here a great source of encouragement.
Thanks for the recognition and I commend everyone who has taken part! Although there are days I feel like I should be doing something more productive (looking for a job, applying to grad school, etc.), the sense of community and acceptance are why I’m still here and still loving it!
Ever since I discovered Daily Post, I’ll admit I just pick a topic here and there if I’m in the mood. I haven’t been very good at doing it every day because I have no clue what to say on every topic that comes through. hehe.
Thanks so much for noticing. It has been challenging at times to keep up but it’s also stretched my blogging into places I’d never go at 3 or four a week, Congrats to everyone who’s kept up … it is a BIG DEAL!
I only started last week (on my birthday) after not blogging forever. Thank goodness there’s the scheduling feature so I can write several posts in one night and schedule them for different days. I wouldn’t be able to keep up otherwise. :-p
Gotta say that I’m proud of myself for keeping an almost weekly schedule (darn that one stretch). I’m amazed at you guys who go daily. My articles always end up running long, even when I cut them into parts. Congrats and keep going.
Out of curiosity, what made those 10 stand out over any of the hundreds of thousands of bloggers that have been blogging every day as well?
Baby Bird,
Yes I have to admit that I was wondering that too
I do follow Tilly Bud’s blog already and the only answer I can come up with is that I think these people post more than once per day.
I couldn’t do that ‘cos I put a decent amount of research into my posts and some of my posts are longer because of it. I have a husband, kids, a job to juggle too.
My posts, even the photographic ones still take organising and time to post, so once a day is more than enough for me.
I don’t think of it as any competition, I write for “me” and if anyone wants to come along for the ride then fine, if not, I;d still write LOL.
Hey, I don’t care if I ever make the top ten of anything, but I really got a kick out of seeing my Tilly Bud up there on the list! Since mine is all poetry, it’s not to everyone’s taste; others focus on photos; and then, there are those free-form ranters and storytellers. It’s all great, and I thank God every day for WordPress, because it creates community in a world where The Powers That Be are doing their best to make us feel poor, scared, and stupid.
Peace to all! Amy Barlow Liberatore
I’m not doing too bad so far…had about a month and a half where I didn’t have internet access which killed my post a day streak, but when I’ve had access, I’ve been posting like mad.
http://inurbase.wordpress.com
Phew! I looked in on your top ten and found some great stuff, but what variety! From the sublime to the (funny) ridiculous. I post every day, but can’t be doing with those prompts! Tillybud and Doodlemum came out top in my poll.
Mirth and Motivation is one of my favorite blogs! Elizabeth is an amazingly talented woman who knows how to inspire and provoke deep thought every single day! She not only blogs every day in a most substantial way, she also gets around to everyone else’s blog to read and comment! Truly, a phenomenal blogger and wonderful person!
Thanks for the vote of confidence Karen. The sentiments are mutual… I love the breadth of information and fierce determination you bring to your blog…TY!
E
Thanks for the mention!
It’s fun to get noticed for doing something I love, but I’d be doing it anyway. Blogging is addictive
ah lovely
and a vote for myself for myself
I have only missed one day since the beginning of the year( I did 2 by mistake one day)…and that was in the first 10 days when i had not realised quite how magnificent the task was….well done to all my fellow bloggers!
keep up the amazing task
gitika x
Its been a fantastic learning experience for me and I haven’t missed a day – although being in different time zones has put me past the midnight hour on a couple of occasions! Its been great getting to know some of the fantastic bloggers on here too!
Wow, this is great that I’ve had a feature and I’m really chuffed. My motivation is purely for me and to further myself as an artist. It’s been so inspirational to meet so many other creatives out in the blogosphere.
I do see it as a journey and try not to get bogged down by ratings, just look to produce a good piece everyday that leaves me happy.
Using WordPress has brought me back out of my shell, I’m using a medium I never thought I’d use.
Keep having fun and here’s to more great art and writing from everyone.
I’ve been posting once a week since January and I’ve totally loved it! To be sure I’d be able to commit to it I chose a topic I love that is books, and then I talk about and specific title or chose a theme and then I do so research about a books that are related to it. I also like t6 write about the experiences I’ve had with a story. My favorite posts of my own so far are the one about me trying to get to Baker St. to visit the Sherlock Holmes museum, the one about the Phantom of the opera book, and the one about magic carpets in literature.
Sorrow,
None of my daily faves are in this list…
Who are your daily favs? Tell us and we’ll check them out.
Qu. What I’d like to see? ….
A. No matter what the topic the writer is writing about.’d like to see QUALITY in the writing and posting.
I want to be amazed or amused for all the right reasons, be challenged, etc, so please people… quality, quality, quality.
Wow, fantastic! I aimed for PostAWeek, but I ended up doing Post-twice-a-week, and sometimes three-times-a-week. Not as hard as I thought! But those who post every day, or multiple times a day, are doing really great!
I started on Jan 1st and so far.. have made the post a day, though I did cheat one day when I drove from Ohio to Florida and only posted two sentences. I don’t think I really thought this through.. how can someone talk about quilts everyday and stay interesting?? Because I wanted to go off topic so often I started another blog today and will start a post a week challenge there.. I would love to see more graphics available.. I spend a huge amount of time looking for and taking pictures! I’d rather be writing!
I really enjoy taking part in the Postaweek2011 challenge. Most weeks I’ve posted more than once but there have been 2 weeks when I didn’t get to post due to the usual ‘too many other things to do’ problem. I sometimes pick a suggested topic that gets my attention – but I often go my own way when something elsewhere sparks a few thoughts. My favourite activity is the Weekly Photo Challenge. I’m not too bothered about getting megahits on my blog – it’s just a place to exercise my mind. If other people like what I’ve written then that’s a bonus
Keep up the great work people!
Not writing to be noticed, writing for my own sanity and personal satisfaction, yeah totally selfish.
I make sure to post at least once a week, but I usually find enough inspiration for at least 3 posts a week. This has been my drug, my release and my link to the rest of the world, so thank you!
I realised after writing that comment that I didn’t mention that although I haven’t posted every day, I’ve been writing pretty intensely and challenged myself with A-Z themes. First, by joining the <a href="http://tossingitout.blogspot.com/2011/05/sign-up-for-a-to-z-challenge.html" A-Z Challenge that Arlee Bird started. Writing A-Z provoked me to write in a new way, so I tried the A-Z idea on food and am now up to the letter T. On Tuesday I do the letter ‘U’ and have written a post on how writing about food has produced unexpected results. Food for thought for other writers looking for a different way to get inside their blogging.
whoops, forgot
to close the link html….
Hey there – thanks for providing the challenge and the inspiration. it was what I needed to leave my comfort zone and get my ideas/photos out there! Have been blogging for almost 5 months, I’m part of the postaday/postaweek2011, and was pretty happy to see one of my posts featured by WordPress in June (about folklore in Brazil) – whichever criteria is used for selection, the idea is probably “do not stop blogging”, get your opinions impressions, images out there, and the results will come!
I just started the postaday yesterday. Is it possible for me to (in theory) catch up and post the past postaday questions? my blog is http://BelieveAnyway.wordpress.com
When i have tried to comment using my wordpress icon at the bottom of the reply box, for some reason it then puts my name (Kate Kresse) at the top of my posted reply. If you click on my name it takes you to my business website. I have checked everything i can think of to get this fixed so that it takes you to my blog instead. any advice?
