If you had to debate a version of yourself that was ten years younger, who would win? What about a game of chess? Or a 5k run? How are you better, or worse, at various traits than you were then?

What a silly challenge, but remains interesting
I think, me today would win the whole proposed challenges but 5k run or climbing a mountain. I believe we have things that are getting better, and things getting slower
I think I will win from an eight year old boy with the 5k run.

I enjoyed today’s topic. It’s a no brainer that experience makes a world of difference in how we look at things. I loved the younger version of me but damn, I sure made a lot of bad choices.
I’m not really a competitive person, but the older me would win because the younger me would know that older me has younger me beat on experience. Then we’d go get a beer.

I would win. My younger self was arrogant and usually drunk. I’ve mellowed a lot since those days.
The older me would always win an argument. I know I can trust myself. The younger me would win all games, sports and beauty contests.
Very interesting topic! I think that if I were to debate a younger version of me, I would win as I know more now than I did then. However, the younger version of me would still want to win the argument and would find creative ways of trying. Though I’d have to admit that the younger me would win in sports and running as the current me is not able to do as much as I used to hehe.

I suspect my younger self would win. It would be like talking to a teenager today, they wrap you up in what they think are clever arguments until you just get exasperated and give up. The older I get the less likely I am to try and win the toss over trivial matters. Older and wiser beats young folk with verbal diarrhoea!
Hummmm… Passion vs. experience. I’m not sure; I guess it would depend on the subject of the debate. With the scars of life, I hope I’m much wiser now!
I would, because I’m not as emotional as I used to be. That doesn’t translate to less passionate, just not as easily rattled.
