  4. I would be the guy that drives the Motor Home from racetrack to racetrack for some NASCAR driver. I get to live in the RV during the week as I go from say… Charlotte to Sonoma, and then move out for the weekend when the driver comes in for the race. He pays my expenses for room and food while I am off track. So I might spend the weekend in San Francisco while he crashes in turn 3.

Not a bad gig if you can get it.

  5. Too soon. I’m about to be an unpaid military member. I’d still pick this profession, though.

  7. If I did not need money … I could become a writer..It seems to me that writers put in a lot of effort for very little reward. They can spend , weeks, months, years sometimes writing a book , only for it to be turned down by the publisher.

  14. Why do most people go for the “arty” route when money is not an object? Is this an “easy” option?

    • Probably because a lot of people who blog are artistic – they write which is an artistic pursuit. So they have other artistic leanings, no doubt.

I am one of the ones that is not a writer or artistic in any way (as far as I know), so yes, I chose a different path in my response above.

      April 9, 2011
    • I feel like it’s probably because it’s particularly difficult to make money as an artist, so many people who would rather do something “arty” have to make money some other way.

I am not sure. I would love to be an encouragment to people who have suffered some of the things I have, showing them that they are not their past, but are people capable of overcoming tremendous odds and living as whole people again. What job that entails, I am not sure, but I seem to be doing it somewhat no matter where I am.

  20. I am an artist but do not make enough money at it to live on. If I had enough money, I would still want to paint. I love abstract art and just to have enough money to live, eat, entertain and buy art supplies would be enough for me.

  22. If I didn’t need money? Meaning I don’t have to work for a living – simple – race motorcycles.
If I didn’t need money? Meaning I have so much money I don’t have to worry about money any more – I’d make sure everybody in the world has what I don’t.

If I don’t need money for a living, I would like to stick to my previous job as Math teacher coz I really like interacting with young people and making Math subjects easy so they can appreciate it. I like to experiment on my teaching style so that it will be fun and challenging to take up Math subjects.
But during my free time I would like to go the basics of growing plants and raising poultry and swine using only organic materials. So that my harvest will be for healthy consumption.
