We’re close to topic #100 and we’ve been remiss – One intention we’ve had at the bottom of our hearts was to build a community around blogging and developing ideas – its been too one way so far.

I would like a variation of the photo challenge or maybe the addition of a new photo challenge. My blog week runs Sunday to Sunday and I usually upload my photo and write my blog on Thursday. The photo challenges start on Friday. By then I’ve already posted my blog for the week and already know what the following weeks blog will be about.
I’d like the photo challenge to not only challenge people to get out and shoot the subject of the week, but to also encourage people to post links to a photo that they’ve blogged about in previous weeks that reflect the topic.
The shutter sisters blog is a good example of how this is done. http://shuttersisters.com/ They post a topic and then ask for your interpretation of the subject. It doesn’t matter when the photo was shot or blogged about. It seems to start great conversation between bloggers and I find myself participating frequently. You can reply to their latest topic or go back and read older ones and reply to those. The days I post to their current topics, my blog views skyrocket and it’s amazing the visits that continue to come in weeks after I’ve replied to one of their topics. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving.

Hi tilly, No i don’t think they should. Recently in the UK a guy in Bristol was tried for murder by the PRESS. They ruined his life and he was innocent. I hope he sues the pants off them!
For better or for worse, the judicial system in this country is based on the idea that a person is innocent until proven guilty, and human nature being what it is people will always be swayed by outside influences when forming their opinions. So no, I think that until a person is proven guilty they have a right to privacy.

My name is Nina and I am a junior at Beverly Hills High School. I am currently working on a project called “Love Hacking”. “Love Hacking” is a short documentary which follows the story of Tim Heath, a robot inventor who falls in love over the Internet and journeys to Nepal to meet his fiance for the first time. They marry the next day!
The film is being created by Jenni Nelson as a part of her MFA degree in Documentary Film and Video at Stanford University. The film has already been filmed but now we are raising funds and awareness to complete the post production process.
I was hoping that you could feature Love Hacking on your blog.

One of my best friends always tells me that “yes, but…” means no. We all have a list of things we “would like to do, but…” So we want to, but we don’t do them. I think of them as the action version of the spoken “yes, but.”

I actually had an idea something that would go over multiple days: Family Week. Each day, you write about a different member of your family. Maybe there would be a sort of template, where you first say who they are, then talk about what they’re like, and wrap it up by talking about one particular memory you have that involves them.
I guess the “bonus” items could be things like an old photo of them, or a photo of something that is relevant to your bond with that particular person.
It’s probably a no, just because it would involve multiple days, but even a one day “write about a family member” topic would be cool. Apologies if this has already been done; I came into Post A Day kind of late.

I heard this on the radio. It is a time of war. The Nazis are going from place to placing looking for people. There are a group of people hiding in a house. One woman has a baby who is sick. The baby coughs a lot. The people can hear the footsteps of the Nazis nearby. The woman with the baby is afraid they’ll be heard if the baby coughs. The woman is told to keep the baby quiet, or they’ll be found. Would you cover the baby’s mouth? The baby won’t be able to breath and might die. This is based on true stories. I know what I would do. What would you do?
