Yes, I’d rather know the truth and being able to handle it is about being a mature person. Finding out that you have not been told the truth for whatever reason is hurtful and shows a lack of respect. The sooner a person knows the truth the sooner he/she can start coping with whatever the situation is and the healing process can begin which is always delayed by be lied to.
